“Inspiration is what I seek in my life and in search of it, I go where the road takes me.” Living by this quote I have lived my life to its fullest. In search of a new chapter in my life, I decided to visit one of the most beautiful cities in India; Cochin City. This is a vacation I really needed as I was desperate to refresh my mind and visit some of the great historical places in the city I have always admired.

Travel smart and reasonable:

I have always preferred to book a flight and hotel for my holiday online. The best advantage is that I can select the flight timings I prefer and the flight fare and hotel fare is far much cheaper.

As I was traveling to Cochin by myself, I needed to plan and stick to a budget which I did and helped me save a lot of money. I decided to book an Economy Class ticket and began checking for various options of flight tickets from Bangalore to Cochin according to the time and the price I would prefer. One by Air Asia airline services matched my requirements and I booked a seat.

I wanted to stay in a decent hotel for the right price and so after researching, I came across the Ajantha Regency, a 3-Star Hotel which completely matched my expectations. So I booked a room having the basic necessities such as Television, Air Conditioner, and Wi-Fi.

Historical Places I would recommend you to visit in Fort Cochin:

I made it a point to visit the most famous tourist attraction, Fort Cochin. I have heard that this place has an amazing and breathtaking view with the water region, especially at sunset. This location is also considered to have some of the best historical monuments that Cochin has to offer!

St Francis Church:

One historical monument in Fort Cochin is the St. Francis Church which is simply spectacular. This church was first built in the year 1503 and is regarded today as one of the oldest European churches in India. Visit the interior structure and spend some time in meditation in this powerful place.

Paradesi Synagogue:

My second day in Cochin was my best day, as I finally visited the famous Paradesi Synagogue I have always dreamed of visiting. This is one of the oldest active synagogues in India and I spent almost the entire day over there but it was worth visiting.

Dutch Palace:

The day before my departure, I visited the Mattancherry Palace, also known to others as the Dutch Palace. As I am an art lover, I gazed at the spectacular historical Hindu portraits, exhibits and temple art collection that were displayed here. This was the perfect way to end my worth visiting vacation to Cochin.

My visit to Cochin was simply the best vacation I’ve been on. It completely refreshed my mind and made me think about life from a newer and even better angle. Since my vacation, I have found a drastic change in my approach towards life.
