- Kishkinta
This theme park is just a couple of kilometres from Tambaram bus stand and it is a hot spot for both the young and young at heart. It is an expansive theme park spread out in an area of 120 acres, it has both wet water rides and dry rides. The park is open from 10:30 AM to 7 in the evening and the entry ticket price for the park is 450 rupees for adults and 350 rupees for children. Most of the rides are covered with this ticket fee but for some rides you have to pay extra.
The water rides are white water ride, aqua slide, tube slide, wave pool, anaconda, multi-lane, etc. The dry rides are road train, bumper cars, tora tora, space shuttle, dragon coaster, disco dancer, super jumper, etc. This is a beautiful theme park with landscaped hills and lakes. Go karting and boating facility are available at the theme park. Lockers and dormitory facilities can also be availed of. The two restaurants at the park are Bamboo restaurant and food village.
- MGM Dizzee World
MGM Dizzee World has both dry rides and wet water rides, it offers entertainment for both the youngsters and adults. The adult rides in the theme park are big wheel, Caribbean swing, creeper bug and disco saucer. It is located on East Coast Road at Muttukadu and open from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM and during weekends the timing is extended by a couple of hours. The special attraction of the park is a snow valley housing snow-capped hills and snow man.
Toy trains, roller coasters, dashing cars and funny mountain rides are the other dry rides. Adults are charged 600 rupees while youngsters are charged 500 rupees. Locker facilities are available and the amphitheatre hosts lot of events. The park is big and it has four restaurants doling out various cuisines. The parking space can accommodate 300 cars and about 750 two wheelers.
- VGP Universal Kingdom
This park was started in a small scale but in the year 1997 it was transformed into a big theme park. It has won many awards and it has over 37 rides. Some of the adult rides are super trooper, dashing cars, water chute, etc. Some of the popular rides for children are merry go round, baby train, statue man. Some rides are designed for all the elder members of the family and they are break dance, roller coaster, balloon racer, giant wheel, etc.
The underwater caves are the star attraction of the place and there are many restaurants and eateries catering to the people coming here. The entry ticket price is 350rupees for adults and 300 rupees for children and it includes some rides. International shows, folk music, sound and light shows are hosted at the theme park.
