I Usually Cover Local News But This Time I Had To Travel Bhopal To Cover A Social Event
I have been pretty successful as a reporter covering various types of social events in Bhopal. It is not that I have never traveled outside Bhopal to cover a news but only very few times. Thus, I was a bit surprised when I was asked to go Indore to cover the news. Actually, one of our main reporters who cover the social events in Indore was severely ill and since it was an important event, they wanted a specialist to cover it. I was happy that they trusted me as a specialist replacement.
I was disappointed to book a ticket in Shipra Express as it was late by more than 3 hours
I did not have to worry about the cost of traveling or hotel as everything is covered by the newspaper. The newspaper allows senior news reporters to travel in AC without needing to worry about the cost. There were so many Trains From Bhopal To Indore that finding a train was not a problem. I was ideally looking for a train in the second half of the day as I had to cover news in the afternoon. After working out my schedule, I booked a ticket in AC-2 Tier in Shipra Express.
1. The train had a scheduled departure time of 8:30 pm from Bhopal but it was late by about 3 hours. I expect trains to be late but a delay of 3 hours was just unacceptable. I even had a second thought of taking a taxi instead.
2. The train eventually arrived at Bhopal at 11:00 pm. It had covered some delay by the time it reached Bhopal.
3. I was really disappointed as all my timetable and planning had gone terribly wrong all because of the delay.
4. The trains coming from the north are usually very dirty. However, I was surprised to find that everything was neat and clean in my coach.
5. I was happy that it was a modern coach and it felt really nice to be finally on my way to Indore.
6. Fortunately, there were no more delays and I reached Indore at around 4:00 am in the morning with a delay of two and a half hour.
7. I was still sleepy when I reached Indore as I slept for hardly 3 hours.
The delay run of the train really spoiled my journey. Otherwise, everything was good about the train.
After a short rest at the Hotel Bienvenue Inn, I was headed to my work
I had already booked a room in Hotel Bienvenue Inn. The hotel was close to the railway station and I was at the hotel by 4:30 am. The event was at 11:00 am and thus I had a few hours to rest and refresh myself before heading to the job. The room was nice and clean. The room just had a wardrobe and an LCD TV in addition to a comfortable bed. I would still say that it was good hotel considering that it was 2-Star hotel.
